How we got started
Artists Anita Burgermeister and Amy Olson met in 1999 and found other like minded creative folks to organize a South Side Art Event and named it the Bay View Arts Tour. It consisted of 50 artists, along with entertainers and art demonstrations, at 30 locations throughout Bay View and was a smashing success. This led them to continue regular meetings which were soon followed by the formation of the Bay View Arts Guild....and the rest is history!

The Community is Our Canvas
The Bay View Arts Guild is bigger than Bay View...it's a dynamic group of artists living and creating throughout the Milwaukee area. We have members from many creative disciplines, demonstrations, lectures, community involvement, art shows and other social activities. This energetic group of creative people meets monthly to share ideas and inspiration. Meetings are generally held on the second Monday of every month.

Mission Statement
Bay View Arts Guild strives to integrate art into the lives of those in Bay View, Greater Milwaukee and beyond. Through a dynamic interaction between artists and the community, Bay View Arts Guild provides a resource for artists while increasing appreciation and support for all the arts through education, entertainment and community involvement.
